Floodlight is a community-developed open source project. We welcome anyone interested in OpenFlow to work with the code and contribute their work back.

The project is currently moderated by (name, github id):

  • Mike Cohen (mscohen02)
  • Alex Reimers (alexreimers)
  • Ed Swierk (eswierk)

If you interested in submitting code, please start by:

  1. Join the mailing list . We'd love to see you active, asking (and answering questions).
  2. Read the Planned Features. We are working on a number of features for Floodlight and would love your help with them.
  3. Send a note to the mailing list to let us know what you are working on (particularly if its a non-trivial change).
  4. Submit a pull request on Github. Make sure you to add Javadoc!
  5. Your change will be approved with a "merge-approved" message from a moderator.
